The partnership between home and school is a vital link towards ensuring
that maximum outcomes in literacy learning for all students are achieved.
We need to support parents and to give them every opportunity to participate
in their children’s education. A shared view of literacy learning
can be developed between home and school through providing educational
opportunities for parents.
This consultancy works with schools to provide needs based workshops.

Workshop Example
90 mins – 2hours
Parents will participate in conversations about “new times, new
literacy.” They will be introduced to the reading to, with,
by support continuum to ensure their child always participates in
a
supportive learning environment in the home. There will be a focus
on the value of continuing to read to their children before and after
they
have commenced school.
Parents find this workshop to be extremely stimulating, engaging and
informative and usually return home very eager to support their children
in literacy development.
