These M100W Magic Words workshops encourage teachers to value the specific and consistent teaching and learning of high frequency words as one of the most efficient ways to support students to code-break texts.
M100W Magic Words is a Learning Centre Resource of high-frequency words to improve reading and writing skills, improve fluency and develop comprehension rapidly. It has been designed and developed by Marcella Reiter, an experienced Victorian based Classroom Teacher, Psychologist and Education Consultant. M100W uses a variety of exciting activities and card games to reinforce the 200 most frequently used words, which make up on average, two thirds of all the words used in reading and writing.
