Frequently Asked Questions

Q. Most teacher aides in my school work across all grades P-7. Which course should they do?
A. They would benefit the most from doing the Early Phase course first and then later in the year follow up with the Middle Years course.

Q. I only work with students in the upper primary. Should I attend both courses?
A. You would benefit greatly from both but you will find the first course is focused on working with early phase students.

Q. I work across the primary grades but mostly in the upper school. Does it matter if I don’t do the first course?
A. The courses can stand alone and there is some revisit material in the second course. However, there is no modeling of instructional approaches for the early phase students in the second course. You or those early students you do work with may be disadvantaged.

Q. Can I send some teacher aides to the first day and different ones to the second?
A. No. There wouldn’t be any point as the second day builds on the first.

Q. There are many teacher aides in this school supporting our students. They all want and need training. Is there a cheaper way we can access the courses?
A. Yes! Host a course at your school. Much cheaper to run! Make enquiries now!
