Reading Workshops
These workshops are very practical and the "What" and the "How" of a theory based approach to the teaching of reading is delivered to ensure the best outcomes for all students.
A whole - part - whole approach to the teaching of reading is advocated using a continuum of support with the instructional approaches of Modelled, Shared and Guided Reading. The participants' understandings of the reading process and their ability to target students' needs in their role working with small groups of students and one on one invention programs are greatly enhanced.
