Writing Workshops
Teacher Aides are required to work with student writers in small groups and with one on one conferencing. They need to understand all aspects of the writing process and have sound knowledge of the variety of text types that students will be required to write. These workshops are very practical and recognize that the writing process is complex and requires writers to link their ideas to the spoken word and to printed messages. To be able to support student writers, teacher aides need knowledge of planning, composing, revising, recording and publishing.
