Writing Workshops

Drumming up some Creative Writing 3-10

This two-hour workshop offers teachers a range of innovative and practical strategies that will make teaching and learning about writing more fun than “dancing to the djembe drums in the light of a silvery moon”!

Many students struggle when asked to write creatively regardless of whether the task is to generate a simple narrative, a poem or a short story. Creativity demands thinking and teachers need to scaffold that thinking if students are to be successful writers. Everyone has a story to tell (or write about). This workshop will help you to release the ‘writer within’!
