Teaching Writing (4-9) One Day Workshop
This day specifically focuses on supporting (4-9) teachers in implementing a structured approach to improving the writing of all students in their classroom. The authorial and secretarial roles of the writer are linked to the aspects of the writing process. A whole - part -whole approach to the teaching of writing is advocated using a continuum of support with the instructional approaches of Modelled, Shared, Guided, Interactive Writing and Language Experience. Ideas and strategies to engage students in the writing process are shared.
